Our Mission

Pack 107's mission and aim is the same as the Boy Scouts of America's

"The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their
lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."

The Cub Scout Oath is:
" I, (name), promise to do my best to do my duty to God and my country,
to help other people and to obey the Law of the Pack."

The Boy Scout Oath is:
"On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight."

Our Aim

"The aims of Boy Scouting of America are:
Character Development, Citizenship Training, and Mental and Physical fitness."

Scouting teaches that character encompasses a person's personal qualities, values,
and outlook.  Scouting strives to help young people grow in the following ways:

They become confident but not conceited.
They are honest with themselves and with others.
Their personal appearance shows that they respect themselves.
They develop special skills and interests.
They can take care of themselves, especially in emergencies.
They can be counted upon to do their best in difficult situations.
They practice their religious beliefs and learn respect for other's religious beliefs.
They respect other people regardless of their differences.

Scouting allows young people to practice good citizenship by living and working among
others with rules based on the common good. They are further encouraged to do the following:

Learn about and take pride in their national heritage.
Develop an understanding of the social, economic, and governmental systems of which they are a part of.
Be of service to others.
Have knowledge of and respect for cultures and social groups other than their own.
Be aware of community organizations and their functions.
Understand and respect the ethnic and social relationships of their communities.
Appreciate the environment and seek to protect it.

Scouting encourages all youth members and adult leaders to work toward being mentally
and physically fit, because by being mentally and physically fit people get the most out of life.
Scouting motivates work toward the following goals:

Improve their general physical condition through exercise and participation in vigorous activities that may include outdoor adventures and sports.
Eat properly, get enough sleep, and follow other habits for good health.
Keep their weight within a healthy range.
Reject experimenting with smoking, drugs, and alcohol, or with other activities that can be harmful to themselves and others.
Strive to be mentally awake.
Use good judgment and make sound decisions.
Train themselves to be resourceful in solving problems on their own.
